ve of lingerie, and motivation to reach out to women and couples to strengthen relationships began for me back in 1995 when I decided to open my own lingerie boutique, Karnation Intimate Apparel Inc. I was enrolled in nursing school, newly married, and a mother of young twin boys. My first lingerie shopping experience was nerve wrecking; I had no idea what size to pick, what style would fit my body type, and honestly how to get into half of the lingerie items I attempted to try on. I felt embarrassed and vulnerable, with no one to turn to for comfort or reassurance. Having the desire to share intimacy with another person is human nature. I designed the company to offer a friendly, supportive, atmosphere where all women would feel confident and attractive and be able to find sexy lingerie. Utilizing all of my assets and making the commitment to change my career path was something I had to do, I listened to my heart and never looked back!
