Get the Right Fit... Right Now. Tips for Shopping for Bridal Bustiers.
Year after year I see frantic brides come into my store, searching for the perfect bridal bustier to wear underneath the perfect wedding dress. I always ask the same important question: When do you need it?
Well, the answers are usually just as frantic as the brides-to-be and tend to be along the lines of: My final fitting is tomorrow. Or, my wedding is this Saturday (in two days). I think to myself “Oh my, I need to make a miracle happen!” The lesson I learned years ago from these excited brides was to make sure to always have a full stock of sexy bridal bustiers in every size. Small bands, large cups or small cups, large bands, I make sure I have the largest selection available to the blushing, sexy bride.
When it comes to bridal bustiers, I do have a few tips for the bride-to-be. The day of your wedding will be special, and the week or two (or three) before the wedding will be stressful. You take the time to find the perfect, most beautiful dress to take your vows in, start a new life in and, of course, feel like a royal princess in. However, be sure that you don’t forget that very important bustier and other bridal lingerie until last minute! The bustier lifts and tucks and molds underneath your perfect dress, and let’s not forget that it’s what your handsome prince will see when the lights turn low, the guests go home and your magical evening continues on through the night . . .
Like other bustiers, bridal bustiers come in a wide variety of styles. Some are long lined to suck the hips and belly in, some are made with an extra firm fit for support, low backs or high backs, no lace or some lace or even a lot of lace; the possibilities are endless and can be overwhelming. But after being an owner of three stores for a very long time, I know better than to leave a future bride in a panic. Yes, there will always be the last-minute bride searching for her sexy wedding lingerie, but that is why I’m prepared!
So my last, and most important tip, is this: Ladies, buy your bridal bustier first. Find one that you love that does all the right things for you. Make sure that it fits and looks perfectly! Then, when you go to try on that perfect wedding dress, you will know exactly how it should be fitted and fixed over your bustier so that it takes your breath away! So, no worries.
